"I don't know what I love shooting anymore..."
That's the comment that started things. Last year was hard - harder than any of you need to know about. It left bruises literally and figuratively that will probably still be healing 4 entries from now. The worst of all wasn't what happened to us but what we did to ourselves. Non-stop LA trips shooting things we weren't necessarily in love with, working with people we didn't like and being abused by the city, the road and the "art".
So...in the new year, we are going to do things a bit differently. We're going to get excited about light again, not just studios and strobes but ambient and reflections and morning and dusk. We're going to ask more of our models and in return give more as well. We've been thinking outside of the box but this year I want to smash that box and the walls we have put up around ourselves within the community and industry.
It's a new year which means new mountains to climb while trying to avoid the mudslides along the way - good luck!
